Nature does nothing in vain
Teleology — from telos, "end" or "purpose" — is the conviction that things have ends toward which they are directed, and that to understand anything is to grasp its purpose. The platform reads Aristotle's whole political philosophy as resting on this teleological foundation: the city is judged by how well it serves its end, the flourishing of its citizens.
